Plop!
Falling slime. Fill a row and it goes plop. Let it reach the top and you’re done.
Play against a friend
Make a room, send the link, and play Marathon at the same time with the same pieces. Every big clear sends garbage up from the bottom of everyone else’s jar.
Seven shapes of slime fall into the jar one at a time. Slide them, turn them and drop them so they fill whole rows — a full row goes plop and disappears, and everything above it sinks down. Let the slime pile up to the top and the run is over.
Easy to start and very hard to put down. It speeds up every ten rows, the next three pieces are always on show so you can plan, and you can tuck one piece away for later. Clear four rows at once for a Plop!, chain clears together for a combo, or switch to Sprint and see how fast you can clear forty. In a race, every big clear sends rows of grey garbage up from the bottom of everyone else’s jar.
How it works
- Tap the jar or press Up to turn a piece. Drag sideways or use the arrow keys to slide it, and drag down to ease it down.
- Flick down, or press Space, to drop it straight to the bottom. The dashed outline shows where it will land.
- Fill a whole row to clear it. One row is 100 points, two 300, three 500 and four at once — a Plop! — 800, all times the level. Clears in a row add a combo bonus.
- Hold (C, Shift, or the hold button) keeps a piece for later and gives you the next one. Once per piece.
- Marathon: play until the slime reaches the top, faster every ten rows. Sprint: clear forty rows as fast as you can.
Common questions
- What is a Plop!?
- Clearing four rows with one piece — only the long piece can do it. It is worth 800 points times the level, and a second Plop! straight after the first is worth half as much again.
- What is the difference between Marathon and Sprint?
- Marathon is about score: play as long as you can while the slime falls faster every ten rows. Sprint is about time: clear forty rows as quickly as possible, and the board ranks the fastest. Each keeps its own board.
- How does a race work?
- Make a room and send the link. Everyone plays Marathon at the same time with the same pieces in the same order. Clearing two rows sends one row of garbage to every other player, three sends two and a Plop! sends four. Garbage waits at the side before it rises, and clearing rows first cancels it. The highest score once everyone has topped out wins.
- What are the keyboard controls?
- Left and Right to slide, Down to ease it down, Up or X to turn clockwise, Z to turn the other way, Space to drop, C or Shift to hold, and P to pause.
- Is my score saved?
- Your best for each mode is remembered on this device. To put a run on the shared board, press “Save & share” after the game and type a name. Nothing is saved anywhere unless you do.
A game, for fun. Scores on the board are whatever players saved, with no accounts and no checking beyond sane limits. The seven shapes are the classic falling-block set; the slime, the name and everything else here are this site’s own.
