Truth or Dare

Pass the phone: pick truth or dare, flip the card, no chickening out.

The classic, made for one phone passed around the circle. Add everyone’s names, choose how daring you want it, and the game keeps the turns, deals a fresh card each time, and never repeats one until the whole deck has been played.

There are three levels. Chill is safe for family dinners and new friends. Fun gets a little embarrassing. Bold asks the questions people usually dodge — still clean: nothing unsafe, nothing that costs money, nothing mean about anyone’s looks.

Many cards pull in another player by name, so the whole room ends up involved. You can also write your own truths and dares, and they’re kept on this device for next time.

How it works

  • Add the players’ names (or skip it and play with anyone).
  • Pick a level: Chill, Fun or Bold.
  • On your turn, choose truth or dare and the card flips over.
  • Skip if you must — the game counts who chickens out most.
  • Dares have an optional 30-second timer.

Common questions

Is it safe to play with family or coworkers?
Chill is written for exactly that. Fun gets a little embarrassing, and Bold goes into crushes and secrets, but every level stays clean: no drinking, no touching, nothing dangerous.
Will the same card come up twice?
Not until the whole deck has been dealt. Each level has its own shuffled deck of truths and dares.
Can I add my own questions?
Yes. Open "Your own cards" in the setup, choose truth or dare, and type it in. They’re shuffled in with the rest and saved in this browser.
What does "skip" do?
It deals a different card of the same kind and adds one to that player’s skip count. After a couple of skips, the game points out who’s been chickening out.
Do we need everyone’s names?
No, but it’s better with them: the game shows whose turn it is, and cards like "give {someone} a compliment" fill in a real name.

Every card is meant to be fun for everyone in the room. Anyone can skip any card at any time, no questions asked — a game that makes someone uncomfortable has stopped being a game. Nothing here involves alcohol, touching, risky stunts or spending money.
